Mohammad Abdul Hye, the Founder and the Chairman of the Company, is a self-made business personality who started his business career in trading business by exporting traditional and non-traditional goods specially fish & vegetable to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He is one of the first businessmen to introduce Bangladeshi product in KSA through his maiden venture Green Bengal Establishment. Later in 1988 he founded Greenland Overseas, a recruiting and manpower Export Company. Greenland Overseas got early success by providing job opportunity to huge number of Bangladeshi workers in the job market of the Middle East especially in KSA.

Greenland overseas has built its reputation over the years as one of the leading recruiting agencies in Bangladesh and gradually developed a comprehensive recruiting chain with the addition of four more new ventures - Greenland Training Centre Limited, Greenland Overseas Tourism Limited, Greenland Polytechnic Institute and Greenland Medical Centre Ltd. With these new additions his vision to create comprehensive solutions to recruitment and employment of Bangladeshi workers in domestic and international job market came into reality.

Following the successful ventures in manpower training and placement Mr. Abdul Hye founded Greenland Builders Ltd. (GLBL) in 2009. An ISO 9001:2008 certified company GLBL signifies the long term vision of the founder chairman to make a niche in real estate sector of the country.

Born in 1952 Mr. Abdul Hye has blended a unique sense of commitment and patriotism which he acquired though his participation in the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971. As a dedicated freedom fighter he attaches highest importance to national priorities and his works in the manpower sector is true reflections of his commitment to the nation.

Mr. Abdul Hye completed higher studies in Mathematics in the University of Dhaka in 1976, and since then engaged himself in entrepreneurial undertakings to explore the vast untapped potentials of the country especially in the arena of manpower export. Today he is one of the leading business personalities of the country and has been recognised as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) title awarded by the Government in 1991 for his notable contribution to the national exchequer in the form of remittances sent by the workers recruited and employed by Greenland Overseas. He has also received SHONAR MANUSH (Golden Man) award as the proprietor of Greenland Overseas which was adjudged as the best recruiting agency of the country.

Social commitments of Mr. Abdul Hye go beyond the people of his business outfits. His generosity and willingness to do things for others make him contribute to various charity funds as well as poor freedom fighters. He is the founder President of Kidney Patients Welfare Association. He freely gives his service and makes regular donations to the educational institutions of his own locality and from other backward areas of the country.
